Percussion Camp

Don’t forget that this week is our annual Percussion Camp! We need all percussion to attend. Please, remind any percussion students you know to be there. They will be in the ZHS Band Hall on Wednesday and Thursday from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

ZHS Band Fundraiser

The ZHS Bulldog Band will be holding a fundraiser at the Zephyrhills Cinema on August 8th at 10:00 a.m. For $10.00 you’ll get to watch the Fantastic Four and a small popcorn/soda. All you have to do is show up to the theater (between 9:30-10:00 a.m.), and give your money to Mr. Schmidt (the older).

Summer Music Notes

I want to congratulate everyone on having a great year! Our bands have accomplished a lot, and have a lot to look forward to. I will be posting a few recordings of some marching band music, so that our students can practice with. I will also be posting the recordings for the upcoming ZHS Halftime Show, so that our recently promoted 8th grade students will be properly prepared for high school.

 

Here’s what we have coming up:

 

July 14th – 15th

Summer Band Day from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

 

July 21st – 22nd

Summer Band Day from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

 

 

July 29th – 30th

Percussion Camp from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. in the ZHS Band Hall

 

 

August 5th – 6th

Leadership Camp from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

 

August 10th – 13th

Band Camp from 8:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

 

It’s essential that all students attend our Summer events. Although the Summer Band Day’s are optional, we truly need all Percussion, Leadership and Symphonic/Concert Band students attend their respective camps. Please, do everything you can to be at these camps.

 

As the Summer progresses, we will post any alterations to our schedule on the band website, and we will send it out to all students subscribed to our Remind account. If you’re not already subscribed, you need to do it immediately. Simply text @rbsmsbands to 81010.

On June 11th, the ZHS Band will be holding a Band Camp Parent Meeting at 7:00 p.m. in the ZHS Band Hall. This meeting is open to any parent who is interested in helping with the upcoming ZHS Band Camp.
